One person gives freely, yet gains even more; another withholds unduly, but comes to poverty. A generous person will prosper; whoever refreshes others will be refreshed. (Proverbs 11:24, 25 )
Dear Father,
What seems logical to us, you cause to be untrue. It would seem that the more we make and the more we keep, the wealthier we will be. Though it is true that there are many greedy people who are wealthy, it is also true that their lives are meaningless.
I pray that these little ones come to understand that wealth is so much more than money. At the same time I pray that they believe that you do reward generosity - generosity in all aspects of life, including money. I pray that with this knowledge and belief, they devote their lives to giving of themselves. And by that I pray that you richly bless them in all things.
