Psalm 86

Hear these children, Lord, and answer them when they call to you, for they are weak and in need. Guard their lives, as they are faithful to you; save them as they trust in you. You are our God; have mercy on these children, Lord, as they call to you. Bring joy to them, Lord, as they put their trust in you. You, Lord, are forgiving and good, abounding in love to all who call to you. Hear their prayers, Lord; listen to their cries for mercy. When they are in distress, may they call to you, because you answer them. Among the gods there is none like you, Lord; no deeds can compare with yours. All the nations you have made will come and worship before you, Lord; they will bring glory to your name. For you are great and do marvelous deeds; you alone are God. Teach these children your way, Lord, that they may rely on your faithfulness; give them an undivided heart, that they may fear your name. May they praise you, Lord our God, with all their hearts; may they glorify your name forever. For great is your love toward us; may you deliver these children when they are in the depths, for you, Lord, are a compassionate and gracious God, slow to anger, abounding in love and faithfulness. Turn to them and have mercy on them; show your strength in behalf of your them and save them as they serve you, for you, Lord, will help and comfort them.
